Easy Tortilla Pizza
Next, we have the trending tortilla pizza recipe! I have to say that this one might be my favourite so far. It's not only quick and easy to prepare, but also very tasty!
Now, let's dive into a low-cost meal that actually
checks all the boxes! This meal only cost me £8.50 to prepare, showing that you
don't have to spend a lot of money to have something yummy and filling. I
just prepared one tortilla pizza, as it was very filling! This dish is
ideal for anybody trying to save money when it comes to making dinners or
snacks. It will undoubtedly become a go-to for students like me.
Method
Start by preheating your oven to 200°C. While the oven heats
up, you can prep your tortilla base. Spread a generous layer of tomato paste
evenly across the tortilla, ensuring it’s well-coated.
After that, shower a good amount of mozzarella cheese over
the tomato base—the more cheese, the better!
Once you’re happy with your cheese layer, it’s time to add
your favourite toppings. I went with a mix of salami and cooked chicken, as I’m
a big fan of a meaty pizza, but the options are endless! You could go for
classic pepperoni or fresh veggies.
Once you’ve added your toppings, don’t forget to add a light
shower of garlic granules and a dash of mixed Italian seasoning for an extra
burst of flavour. I have to say, this really enhanced the overall taste of the
pizza!
After that, pop your tortilla pizza in the preheated oven at
220°C for about five minutes. While it bakes, take this opportunity to tidy up
the kitchen so you can enjoy your delicious pizza in a clean and tidy kitchen.
This way, you’ll have everything ready to enjoy your pizza.
And look at that! In less than 10 minutes, you've
practically created a pizza from scratch. Of course, some may consider it a
cheat because you used a tortilla as the base, but it's a great shortcut. Who
says you can't eat homemade pizza without spending hours in the kitchen?
As always, I’ve included a video below so you can follow
along step-by-step. Please let me know in the comments if you’ve tried this
easy recipe or if you’re planning to give it a go. I love reading your thoughts
and feedback!
